A working farm in the middle of Bellevue
Some Eastside buyers want more than a polished downtown address. They want room to breathe, a place where a Saturday morning can start with a walk past pastures instead of a parking garage. Kelsey Creek Farm gives Bellevue that kind of everyday luxury: a real working farm park, free to visit, sitting in the heart of the city.
The City of Bellevue runs the farm inside Kelsey Creek Community Park. The park covers about 150 acres of forest, meadows and wetlands. Two white historic barns sit on the crest of a hill. They once belonged to the Twin Valley Dairy and are listed in the State Heritage Barn Register. The historic Fraser Cabin sits nearby. Together they create a setting that feels rural without leaving Bellevue behind.
Why farm-side living draws people here
Living near Kelsey Creek Farm is less about a single listing and more about the rhythm of the place. The park is open dawn to dusk every day of the year, including holidays. Admission and parking are free. Farm animals are out for viewing from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Ponies, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks and rabbits are part of the everyday scene. Larger animals spend the day in pastures, and their spots can change.
Beyond the barnyard you get hiking and jogging trails, picnic areas, a playground, open grass, creeks, wetlands and forest. The Eastside Heritage Center hosts drop-in programs at the Fraser Cabin. The city also runs log-cabin programs and a calendar of farm classes and events. Pets on leash are welcome in most of the park, but not in the barnyard.
For many households, that mix is the draw: nature and open space close at hand, with Bellevue’s shops, offices and transit still nearby. We do not invent commute times. Traffic on I-405 and Bellevue’s arterials changes by the hour, so drive the routes you actually use before you settle on a street.
Where the farm sits
The City lists the farm at 410 130th Pl SE, Bellevue, WA 98005, in the Wilburton neighborhood. Homes around the park put trail walks and a free farm visit within easy reach of many streets. Wilburton, Crossroads and Lake Hills are the neighborhood areas we will look at next when we map the streets around the park.
